Senior IT expertise, without the headcount
FireLight IT Solutions has been supporting UK businesses from Reigate since 2011. We look after firms across finance, energy, recruitment, property and care, most of them between ten and fifty people, none of them with an IT department of their own.
How we're set up
FireLight was founded by Damian Kiernander, who has spent over twenty years in IT support and IT management and still sets every client's security standard, reviews their systems, and answers the questions that need a senior answer. When you ask us whether to move platforms, how to handle a compliance requirement, or whether a supplier's proposal makes sense, that is who you get.
Day-to-day support runs through our service desk, 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday. That means a password reset or a printer problem gets picked up promptly by someone who knows your setup, rather than waiting for one person to be free. Anything that needs deeper knowledge escalates to a senior engineer the same day.
We are not the largest provider you will speak to. We include the senior view rather than escalating it.
How we make our money, which is worth being clear about
One monthly fee for the service. That is it.
We don't resell your Microsoft licences; you buy them directly from Microsoft in your own name, and we take no commission from any supplier we recommend. So our advice about what you should buy is worth something, and our income doesn’t go up when your licence bill does.
It also means your systems stay yours. Your Microsoft tenant, your subscriptions, your data. If you ever decide to move to another provider, nothing of ours is tied to it.
Very few providers in our market are set up this way, and we think it is the right way round.
We are Cyber Essentials certified. We think an IT provider that asks clients to adopt a security standard should be willing to measure itself against it, and we apply the same baseline internally that we apply to every client.
